An Introduction to Regular Expressions

Regular Expressions are often considered a dark art, written by very few, understood by even less. This talk will banish that viewpoint and demonstrate the ease with which this powerful instrument can be used.
The talk will introduce Regular Expressions to those with limited or no experience, covering what they are; explaining how to read and write the majority of syntax; showing how Regular Expressions can help to both simplify your programming and speed up your workflow; and identifying situations when Regular Expressions are not the best choice.
