This session introduces cryptography covering the many subtle mistakes that even experienced developers make when writing cryptographic code. After covering the basics of encryption mechanisms and their appropriate uses, attendees will learn about the proper implementation of cryptographic code in ColdFusion applications for encryption/decryption and hashing. Special attention is given to the challenges of encryption key generation and management. No prior knowledge of cryptography is necessary.
